Nani_B Posted December 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2009 I asked a question on another thread but can't find it. (Still kinda new to this) I was wondering about what to wear to dinner at the Steakhouse on the Carnival Conquest on a non-formal night? We sail on the 25th of April 2010, and made a reservation for the 29th. Any and all advice would be appreciated. :o

Nani_B Posted December 22, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted December 22, 2009 paul929207, Thank you for responding, but unfortuately no, I had unwittingly posted the question to someone elses thread regarding a similar question about the steakhouse. Went to look through the posts today and just could not remember which one. Then I thought that, perhaps, I shouldn't have asked it on there anyway, but just posted it separately. This is a first (no kids) vacation we've ever been on and I'm trying to find out as much as possible so we can get the most out of it without messing up or causing an annoyance:o  to more experienced passengers! I think I'm getting more confused rather than less with the formal nights. What dining area are they held in? I think that as the date gets closer, I find more questions then I had earlier:). A nice dress or pants outfit and a collared shirt and slacks will be fine. Have a wonderful cruise,

We found we had to go through the casino alot to get to other places, and being non smokers it was very smoky, even in some nearby areas. The food was great! The steak house is a western theme, but you just wear something nice, like you would in the main dinning area, a dress or skirt, guys dress pant and shirt. or cotton pants. Have a good trip. Where is the main dining area located? Our cabin is a balcony towards the front on the right side.

Notice there are dead ends- Know that deck 5 can get you anywhere from front to back. if you are in the front of the ship and opted for traditional dining- your dining room is either on the Atlantic deck OR the Lobby deck depending on your seat assignment which you will find out when you board. Your dining room will be midship.

I plan to explore as much of the ship as possible!
serene56 Posted December 23, 2009 #11 Share Posted December 23, 2009 My favorite thing-- once onboard-- head to the buffet, grab something to eat and head close to the pool deck and watch new cruisers- yep you can tell those. When a waiter asks them if they want a drink they take one--take a sip then the waiter asks for a sign and sail card---priceless. -- check EVERY station before grabbing something to eat. people will come on the sliding door and get in the first line-- i am guessing they think its all the same food---NOT. Check early in the week for the Mongolian station==which is a stir fry station= watch it as the week goes on and people find it--the lines grow and grow- by the end of the week you coul dbe looking at a 45 minitue wait
Nani_B Posted December 23, 2009 Author #12 Share Posted December 23, 2009 WOW, Thanks for the heads up on that! I would probably be one of those you'd be getting a kick out of :o. I love stir fry, I watch for that line too!:D
