I Am onbord on the liberty since last week I am doing b2b cruise.the liberty is in great shape,the cruise director is Abe huges need more pratice he so boring and you never see him around not even on pool games rob the actv manager is the one that does the pool games,Abe belongs in small ships not the freedom class,the food is ok,the shows are good we had charo she is amazing and derrirk Cameron comady.the diamond concierge is Mario Reyes,the smokey policey is great you could smoke at the pool bar abd deck 4 bolaros bar and the casino.I will be on until the Jan 3 and I will scan the compass,I forgot the liberty will be going to bayonne in 2013 the explorer will be going to Freeport this is confirm by captain Charles

I'm on Liberty next week and I dread Abe.. I've heard he's no Allen Brooks who i've been lucky to have twice. hope everything else goes well and maybe he surprises me..

That is interesting. We just came home on the 20th from the Liberty. Never heard anything at any of the events about this. What we have heard at captain events previously is that the port in bayonne dock is not able to handle anything larger than voyager series ships. We love the Explorer but the Liberty is awesome too.

 

I feel for you. We never saw the cruise director around. His daily show on tv very boring...reading from a script. what shows he did attend....very dull. We love James Andrews....Maybe you will get lucky and he will be on second leg.

 

If you visit spa...tell Rose who does the Teeth whitening....Cris says hello!!!

 

Have a great time.....oh....look for Edgar who is an assistant waiter who serves in the windjammer in the mornings....he does excellent elvis pressley impersonations.....he is awesome....we came to breakfast there each morning to his section just to visit him.

Abe Hughes is on the Liberty December and January - we had him for 46 nights around the horn on the Mariner and he did a good job also we had him in November on the Mariner. On the Mariner he worked with Captain Johnny who could be a cruise director also. Abe is off for a month in February.

oh you are so right. we heard many folks who had been with him on a previous ship and loved him. We expected more I guess from other cruise directors we had experienced who were so more visiable. Sometimes it is the team who makes or breaks the cruise director too and some staff on our trip were going off and a new person was on. oh well........another cruise to do......happy cruising.

Hi! I see you mentioned Bolaros. If you go there this week can you tell the bartender, Apolonio, that Anne said "hi" and sends her love.
