We arrive in Miami by 10am on the 29th. We then take a shuttle to the pier in Miami.

Does anyone know what time embarking starts?

Also, can we bring non-alcohic drinks on board? ie Diet coke for our cabin fridge!

Embarkation time depends.

Captains club, and suite passengers have boarded as early as 12 (maybe earlier, can't recall for sure, 11:30?). I think 'official' boarding time is 1:00-1:30, but, just go there, and get ready to board as soon as you arrive.

We arrived at Celebrity just before 11:30am on Jan 2 '05. They were fairly busy with check-ins already. We were on ship by 11:45. Buffett opened for lunch at noon, so they must have expected some folks that early. They announced cabins available to enter around 1:30pm on PA. If you're doing Celebrity shuttle they may collect a bunch to fill a bus so you could be slowed down some getting away from airport. Otherwise a standard airport shuttle getting you there around 11am should work.

You'll have to get cabin steward to remove beverages already stocked (honor bar) so there's no mixup with your stuff. Have fun.

If you arrive in Miami at 10am, you probably won't get to Port Everglades much before noon anyway (baggage claim, finding the shuttle, Miami traffic etc.) so you shouldn't have a problem checking in. Your cabin attendant can clean out the minibar as soon as he/she has a chance (they're slammed the first afternoon) and you can stash your own stuff in there. We do it every year. You get separated from your checked luggage as soon as you get to the port, so if you'll need anything for the first couple of hours, keep it with you. We keep a bathing suit, shorts, reading material etc. in a carryon so we can get into the cabin, change and head for the pool as soon as possible - checked bags get to you promptly in suites but can take a while otherwise. Anything you'll want the first afternoon is best carried with you onto the ship.

We'll see you at the CC party onboard! Cheers,

Kirsten & Allan
