Robin8 Posted December 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2009 I've been "assigned" Cabin 6562 on an upcoming cruise. It's connected to 6564 according to the deck plan. Are connecting rooms noisy? Are there double doors between cabins for sound-proofing & security? Thanks.
Rare steamboats Posted December 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2009 No there are no double doors. And yes, it can be noisy. But it all depends on your neighbors. We´ve been in a connecting cabin to an owner´s suite which was used by RCI staff for meetings. We were able to hear the phone ringing and talking. steamboats
debandbill Posted December 28, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2009 We were in connecting cabins with our son, DIL and 10 month old baby. Connecting door is a single one that swings into one of the rooms..our door was in the entry area across from the bathroom. I thought that the noise was very minimal. I would listen for our granddaughter to wake up and start babbling so I could get her and allow the kids to sleep but she was very hard to hear and even when she cried, it was very muffled. So...really, I thought that the cabin to cabin noise was very minimal....certainly no worse because of the connecting door and better than other ships with no connecting door.
