Liquor in Dubai

We're going to be in Dubai for a few days prior to our April cruise and would like to purchase liquor there to take on our cruise.

 

Is bottled liquor readily available and what is the approximate cost for a liter of an average vodka? Skoal!

There is a duty free shop that sells alcohol in the cruise terminal. I don't remember the prices, but they were reasaonable. The place took US$ and credit cards.

Unless you are a resident and have an alcohol licence, liquor is only available from duty free stores at the airport (there is a duty free store on arrival) or at the cruise terminal. (There are hole-in-the-wall grog shops but they aren't recommended for price or convenience.)

 

At the airport, Smirnoff/Stolichnaya vodka is probably around US$12-15, good stuff a little more. Absolut is around US$20.
