Tenefife: Horseback?

Has anybody here done horseback riding while stopped at Tenerife? I googled it and there do appear to be multiple companies in Tenerife that offer horseback excursions, but I have no idea how feasible this is (i.e. if the area where the ship docks is anywhere near to where the horses are located). I'd be interested in hearing from anybody who has done this and/or looked into doing this. Thanks.
