I am a MSC Club member. How do they know it?

Just a few quick questions:

I am a MSC Club member and MSC past passenger. However, we go again on MSC in the next days. How do MSC know I am a MSC Club member? They will take care of it automatically or do I have to notice them if I wish to get the member's benefits?

Is there a special/exclusive cocktail for the MSC Club members on the ship?

Thank you!

Hi Stephane

You will need to take your MSC Club card with you and register at reception on the first day of your cruise. There is a special cocktail party for Club members and an invitation will be delivered to your cabin.

If you want to take advantage of the free laundry items, you fill in the laundry form as normal but put zero in the price column and record your MSC Club number on the form. You will need to let your cabin steward see your card ( I just left mine beside the form and laundry bag. You also don't need to have all 10 items done at the same time, you can split it over several days if you want.

For excursions, you take your card to the Tour Desk when you are handing in your booking form.

I'm not sure how you claim your free casino chip or have the free meal in the speciality restaurant, as I've not claimed either before.

The free meal is only for gold members after you reach the top level. The casino chip was easy to get. Just go to the casino and present it at the cashier and she gives you a form which you then take to the table. Register your card with the guest services people and then use it for the discounts. The laundry was wonderful. Any 10 garments either laundered, ironed or dry cleaned. It was fantastic to have that service ...

You can join on or before your first MSC cruise. For each cruise you get 1 point for every night aboard, plus 1 point for every €200 spent aboard (excursions, drinks, shops, etc.). When you reach 21 points you're moved up to "silver" status and with 43 points, "gold" status. The perks for each grade, basic-silver-gold, are listed on the MSC website under "MSC Club."

If you email them ,or have your Travel Agent email them, with your MSC Club Membership number and your MSC booking refrence they will link the two together.

Then when you get your cruise card it will have your membership status printed on it and the computers on board ship wil be programmed to give you the relevant discounts as and when you use it.

It is better to do it before you get on the ship rather than queue at reception to have it linked.

See the image below and look at the card in the top right of the image where you can see my card printed with " Black Member" on it.

The FREE meal is only for BLACK Card Members and it is a lunch with some of the officers.

There is also a discount on a meal for 2 in a speciality restaurant if your ship has one. . The Lirica Class ( unstreched) don't have one. They may do after having been stretched.

BLACK CARD MEMBERS: 100% ( a FREE meal if you want to call it that) It can only be used once per cruise!!!!

the discount for other grades is

GOLD:-25% and there is no limit on how many times you use the discount in any one cruise

SILVER:-10% and there is no limit on how many times you use the discount in any one cruise

CLASSIC:-0%

Casino Chip

You have to match the value of your casino chip with cash and you can only bet on an evens bet on roulette table ie Red/Black : Odd/Even : High:/low

They don't do discounts on excursions any more that disappeared when they introduced the BLACK CARD.

Nor do they do FREE laundry

they now give discounts

BLACK:-30%

GOLD:- 30%

SILVER:-20%

CLASSIC:- 20%

Hello ,

I have just joined the msc club how do I receive my club card is it send to your home address or do pick it up on board

devilish

It should be sent to your home, but unless it is a Black card you don't really need one.

You only need to show a black card to get priority boarding.

Your cruise card will already have you status on it. I should imagine they are going to phase out all the cards but the Black one soon

I have just tried to become a member of the MSC club, but it said "No". I assume I will have to wait until my first cruise next year, then try and join.

According to the T & Cs you have to have completed a cruise of at least 3 nights before you can join the MSC Club.
