j24752 Posted January 23, 2012 #26 Share Posted January 23, 2012 I will be cruising on the Freedom at the end of April and will have a stop at Grand Cayman. Is there any Casinos i can go to on the 7 Mile Beach area?
Newbcruiser1 Posted January 23, 2012 #27 Share Posted January 23, 2012 We are looking to do a beach day on 7 Mile Beach next week. Can anyone tell me the differences (or pros and cons) of Royal Palm versus Seagrape? Is there a difference in the price of a taxi to each one? Cost of chairs? Avalablility of shade or cost of umbrellas? Thanks!
bookbabe Posted January 24, 2012 #28 Share Posted January 24, 2012 Is there any Casinos i can go to on the 7 Mile Beach area? None anywhere on the island. Can't even buy lottery tickets. Prices are comparable for rentals, food, drink, etc. Taxi would be about $1 more per person each way for Sea Grape, since it's further down the beach, but Royal Palms has added a $2 per person entry charge, so it works out to be the same in the end. Sea Grape has a playground nearby while Royal Palms has an adults-only pool, but other than that the facilities are much the same. Royal Palms has a website with webcams if you want to get an idea what it looks like - http://royalpalmscayman.com/cruise-information - and there's links to photos of Sea Grape in the thread by that name in this forum. CarolRoy Posted January 25, 2012 #30 Share Posted January 25, 2012 you can ride a bus going there for only $2... We always take the bus to the beaches in GC. You can go all the way to Cemetery Beach for the same $2.00. Cemetery Beach has few people (no facilites). If you get tired of CB, then you can walk back on the beach towards the ship. You will come to the other beaches, Royal Palm, etc. You can leave the beach anytime and catch the bus back. Just wave to the driver and he will stop for you. Again, it will be $2.00. 2012 – Carnival Conquest – Feb. – W. Caribbean 2011 – Westerdam HAL – Dec. – E.
