Altun Ha + zoo or museum or sanctuary-opinions?

Hi,

 

we'll be in Belize from 8 am-- 5 pm with 3 other ships in January.

 

We're thinking about a private tour (just us only) that will take us to Altun Ha and then we're deciding about the 2nd part of the day.

 

Our choices are:

 

Altun Ha + zoo ($90)

 

Altun Ha + Belize museum ($70)

 

Altun Ha + Baboon sanctuary ($68)

 

Altun Ha + drive around the countryside ($75)

 

Which would you choose and why?

We are doing Alta Han + Old Belize city + stop to eat lunch at Old Belize Museum on the beach and some shopping for $55/pp with Nacho & Cindy..

Which would you choose and why?

 

You will see countryside driving to Altun Ha. It is flat. Seeing more of it won't make it any flatter.

 

Baboon sanctuary = howler monkeys. You will see countryside on way.

 

Zoo is said to be nice. Is in an area with slightly different countryside, more jungly, + a little higher up. Further away. Baboon sanctuary is closer to Altun Ha.

 

I would choose zoo or sanctuary. You will see a bit more of landscape going to zoo. Museum only if you hate outdoors or are museum junky.
