We have a 5:05pm flight out of San Juan after our cruise (Feb. 27th - RCI Southern Carib). Any suggestions on what we can do after we disembark? Is there enough time to do anything? Not sure how far the airport is from anything...any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

We toured San Juan after disembarking from the Caribbean Princess last Feb. We got off around 10a. We went to Old San Juan, walked around, looked at, but didn't take the tour of, El Morro. Then we drove out to the Bacardi factory and took the tour there. I think we squeezed lunch is somewhere. Our flight out was at 5:30 so we got to the airport a little after 3. The check in and security area was very busy so give yourself plenty of time!

With the new security restrictions, you had better leave yourself lots of extra time at the airport. When we flew out of San Juan the airport was fairly crowded and that was before all these new restrictions were in effect. If you take a tour, I suggest you make sure you still have enough time to get to the airport at least 2 hours before your departure time.

On our honeymoon, we booked an excursion tour of San Juan since our flight left at 4:30 and loved it. It gave us something to do while waiting on our flight and made our trip seem a little longer.

If you book with the ship, they keep your luggage and have it waiting at the airport once you get there (a HUGE help). We had plenty of time because we were the second group off the ship that morning - only after early flights.

We booked ours before we left - just check everything out on the website.
