This is third posting of this question on various boards. Hope someone can help me. We will be doing beaches and shopping at all 3 ports. Does anyone know if using a wheelchair will be no problem or an impossibility at any or all of them? Thanks!

I have a son in a wheelchair and have been to all three of these ports. We didn't have any trouble getting him off the ship in Nassau and Grand Turk. He stayed on the ship at Half Moon. The place that we went to the beach in Nassau was next to Atlantis. We could not get him to the beach there because there was a hill between the beach and the road. At Grand Turk, we humg out at Margaritaville and didn't even go to the beach. Other than being VERY crowded, he didn't have any trouble getting around. He isn't much of a "sit on the beach" person, so it wasn't a problem.

Isnt Half Moon Cay the beach?? I doubt there will be much anyone can do or see in a wheelchair. Just the small amount of shops I would guess. Hopefully someone will have better info.

Nassau shouldnt be too hard, you go thru a building at the port and then down a regular street. A few curbs, but I dont remember anything that would be that difficult to get around.

The shopping is doable ... I cant imagine "doing beaches" in a wheelchair?

We were at Half Moon Cay with my Mom in a wheelchair. The little shops are in a paved area and some pathways are paved also. Once you enter the shop area there was a spot where you could use their beach wheelchairs and we took her around in that for the day. It's a beautiful beach!
