Embarkation Procdures

G&TQ

Recommended Posts

Our last cruise was 2 years ago from the port of Miami and when we arrived at the terminal we were early and not the first ones there. We spent maybe 10 min in line and up to the counter to verify funpass info and swipe our credit card. Then the wait began. We found seats and talked with those around us (made some new friends were not even on board). This lasted awhile but we were early. So then they called by zones to board. Are they still doing this? cause it was awful people who showed up after us boarded before us. Now I understand VIP and Handicapped even elderly but there were to many for that. When we got on board lido was already packed.

Anyway so what are the procedures for the different ports? specificly Mobile but I am sure someone will find the procdures for other ports useful.

Thanks!

Weddings go first, VIP includes all suites and those with 10 cruises who were platinum. Lots here have posted if there are a couple who are platinum, they bring their whole family in the VIP line.

There might be more VIPs than you would think??

yes, they should do it by zones, once those above you mentioned boarded.

But shouldn't the zones be first come first aboard with the exception of VIPS etc?

Every cruise we've been on they do the embarkation by the zone number you have 1 through whatever, after the weddings, VIP, and handicapped. Maybe there were lots of VIPs on your particular cruise so boarded before you did.
