We did a crawl on the Conquest, and the balconys on the top deck spa?? Id have to go look, slide open. The balconys on lower decks opened out, but didnt stay open if its windy, you need a bungee cord, and then the heat or a/c will work overtime, is why Carnival doesnt make them to stay open.

All of the Carnival ship's I've had a balcony on have opened out. For me it is too warm and humid in the Caribbean to have the doors open. Now our Dream Transatlantic we propped the door open a couple times with a deck chair at night....love the sound of the sea!
