We are back from the N Y E cruise. It was very inconvenient having the Norovirus on board, they should have had the sanitisers in place before it broke out, but if everybody followed basic hygiene rules it would not happen. I think children under a certain age should not be allowed to go and help themselves to the buffet. All that aside it was a fantastic cruise that I would recommend to anyone. The weather was great and New Zealand was great. We would recommend archer tours most highly for rotorua, Jim our driver was fantastic, and much cheaper than the ship charges. As with any cruise there are good and bad things but overall it was good.

on our xmas cruise on the Sun Princess we noticed some parents taking their kids into the pool and spa with nappies on...not very nice

they put notices in the patter that no babies to go in the pool with nappies on so the parents dont read or they dont care and maybe thats why the ship had the noro virus onboard

our may they are wearing swim pants, huggies make them. they look a like like nappies but hey are not. and it saves having little p.......... floating in the pool.

or we can ask all the cruise lines to put baby pools on there ship,opps the pacific sun has one, and put die in the other pools for when some one pee,s in it, Iv seen that the waer turns purple right were there pee is around the person.

Then we can blame evry one else for the noro virus for not washing there hands.

What I hate is when people use there hands to get food at the buffe and not use the tongs that are provided.

The Sun Princess has it's own little kiddie pool complete with slide and in the shade. It only has a tiny amount of water in it but quite large and the kids can run around in it.

 

It looked like great fun.

Yes even the babies swim pants are banned. Any child NOT toilet trained cannot use the main pools for obvious reasons.

hi Karon, on the xmas cruise on the Sun Princess they didnt enforce the rule about babies not being in the kids pool or the spa with nappies on.....security was a bit easy going but they should enforce the rule but it comes back to the parents letting the kids go in the pool in nappies espically with the norovirus onboard the ship
