Painter Posted January 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2010 Anyone have some recent Diamond menus? Do Princess change their menus very often?
kimchee1212 Posted January 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2010 Here's some menus from the Sapphire last year: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=978889&highlight= Princess menus seem to apply to all ships. Princess doesn't often change their menus, but usually every five-seven years they seem to.

NHsnowpup Posted January 21, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2010 Thank you so much for the pics. Which nights were the Formals? So we can plan on whether to pack or not. Thanks!!
SF Posted January 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Does anyone have the menu for Caribbean night? I read on the boards that it is the theme dinner for the second night on Emerald Princess.

Coracii Posted January 22, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Thank you so much for the pics. Which nights were the Formals? So we can plan on whether to pack or not. Thanks!! The menus labeled "Captain's Welcome Dinner" and "Captain's Gala Dinner" were the two formal nights. Which specific night of the cruise will depend on the itinerary, so formal nights in Alaska will possibly be different days than formal nights in the Caribbean, even if both are 7 day trips. NHsnowpup Posted January 22, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2010 The menus labeled "Captain's Welcome Dinner" and "Captain's Gala Dinner" were the two formal nights. Which specific night of the cruise will depend on the itinerary, so formal nights in Alaska will possibly be different days than formal nights in the Caribbean, even if both are 7 day trips. I was guessing that the "Captain's" nights would be the formals, but wanted to be sure. We are doing 7 day before land our design, and then the cruise with lots of photo/outdoor gear. DH NEVER checks bags and is a picky little SO- when it comes to food. (But he is still a definite keeper, no trade-in here!) so I'm in the quandary of what will fit in a 19" rolly and a backpack that is crucial and do we give up the formal nights/menus or the extra pair of comfy hikers. This helps with the tough choice, knowing the menus. The actual night/schedule is not important to us. It's the food choices. Thanx again!
paul929207 Posted January 22, 2010 #9 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Princess uses the same menus on all cruises. There is a basic 7 night set that are used except when a holiday menu is substituted. Long cruises use additonal menus which repeat some choices. The menu rotation is based on the shortest way to book the cruise. That is if a cruise can be booked as one 14 night cruise or two 7 night cruises, they will use the 7 night menus each week.
