Did a search for this and came up empty.

Do the slot machines take quarters or do you have to buy tokens?

Based on my memory from last March, neither. They take bills, I don't remember if they took $1 or $5. But most took $10, $20 and even $100 :).

Doubt I will be putting 100$ in there. Maybe I will get lucky ;)

You put in the bills and all the rest is done with little slips of paper with your credits on them. No buckets of coins for the slots or video poker. I think most casinos do it that way now.

All paper money. You then take that ticket (if you have any money left) to the next machine, or cash it at the automated machines, or the casino cage.

 

No coins. Very few casinos in the states use coins anymore as well.

Just returned from the Gem the slot machines do take $1's and $5's

You can't swipe your card but you can get cash on your card at the casino window and then feed the cash into any machine you like - and hopefully find one that likes you!
