Ketchikan in 5.5 hours

We are making our first-ever cruise and first trip to Alaska in June. We have a ridiculously short (in my opinion) 5.5 hour port visit in Ketchikan. I originally wanted to do the Bering Sea Crab Fisherman tour (3.5 hours) but am having second thoughts as I feel it wouldn't give us time to do anything else while we're there. Any thoughts from someone who has "been there and done that"?
