Liberty - Open Balcony Divider - Towards Railing or Ship?

When you request the balcony divider be opened between cabins, on the Liberty is it locked towards the ship or towards the railing? I've seen some that are against the ship (wonderful!) but then I have read some threads that say/show them against the railing. Towards the railing seems like it would interfere with the view and would not be so appealing. Balcony would be an 8B along the side.

I'm hoping it is against the ship but I'm afraid I'm going to be disappointed with the answer.

I just double checked my pics from the Liberty where we had our balcony divider opened, and it looks like it's towards the ship. That's what I seem to recall as well. We'll see what others say too, just to be sure!

The dividers open toward the ship. This means that some dividers will block doors. To avoid this problem sometimes they will remove the divider, sometimes they won't.

Aft facing balcony dividers are removed, not opened.
