Windstar Rooms

Stayed on Level 1 midship on Wind Surf Dec 13/20 and had no problem, motion was not noticeable but we didn't have much weather either. Have also stayed on Level 2 previously and the only difference is waves occassionally wash your port hole on Level 1. There are elevators if stairs are a problem. Accommodations are identical. Enjoy.

We have been on deck 1 midship three times now and have always had an enjoyable cruise with little motion. We spend little time in our cabin so do not see the point in paying out for a suite or a similar room just one deck higher.

Our experience on Deck 1 on the Windsurf was the same as the previous posters. You might get the "front-loading washing machine" effect out your porthole during high seas. Also, during docking they close the water doors which are on Deck 1 . This entails taking a different route to your cabin depending on where it's located. It's a minor inconvenience and you're told about it in advance.
