Orlando Airport - Check in outside building on United?

We will be flying to & departing from the Orlando Airport for the first time in March 2010. We are flying on United Airlines. Can we check in outside the building when we are going home?

I thought we would be able to check in outside. Much easier & usually faster. Thanks.

Definitely check the lines inside too. The other day there was a huge line for curbside check-in for United at Orlando. The lines inside didn't look too bad. You can check yourself in using the kiosks and have the agents tag your bags which tends to be quicker than having a person check everyone in (which is the case outside).
