New to CCL, simple question

We're sailing on Celebrity for the first, leaving Sunday on the Millenium. Was wondering if there is room under the bed for suitcases or if Celebrity's beds are on pedestals?

Yes plenty of room. We had three large suitcases and two carryons and they all fit under the bed.

We were on the Millie 11/27-12/7/09. Almost any "standard" suitcase will fit under the berth. The rail is maybe 10-11" off the floor, and there is another inch or two of clearance under the mattress/support frame itself.

That is where we store our suitcases also. There is plenty of room. Have a great time.

If it doesn't fit and you won't need access to it until the end of the cruise you can ask your stateroom attendent if he can store it for you. They have some additional storage areas outside your stateroom for luggage.

Ours fit under the bed on a CC balcony cabin, so I assume other cabins beds are similar. You'll have a great time - lovely ship, exceptional service. More info and photos on my web site.

We keep one open under the bed and that becomes our hamper - pull it out, throw the dirty clothes in, push it back. When that fills up we open the next one... Make sure you look for escaped socks under the bed before you leave. :)

We nest our suitcases (matched set of different sizes) each inside the other so that only the largest one needs to be put anywhere. Put it under the bed.

 

If it seems too thick to slide under, just lift the bed slightly and then fit it under. As has been said, there is extra room beyond the side rail of the springs under the bed itself. This may seem self-evident, but the first time that I tried to put a thicker case under, it did not occur to me to lift the bed to check for actual room! I know.....duh!!!:rolleyes:

we were on Equinox and there was plenty of room for all 4 suitcases under the bed
