canjay95 Posted January 29, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2010 We got off the boat yesterday. I'm going to write a full review, but thought I'd post something quickly. We had the best time! We went with lots of other couples and it was the best vacation we've ever taken. The Triumph was very nice! We enjoyed dinner in the dining room every night and Ronald was a fabulous waiter! We loved the magic show and The Big Easy show- both were great! The R rated comedian was great too. The only complaint I would have would be the sewer smell on deck 2, the crazy layout of the ship and the long lines at the buffet. We chose to never eat buffet for that reason. They have the same food for breakfast in the dining room and we prefered sitting and being waited on. Overall, it's a great ship and we had a great cruise. Jorge, the cruise director was fabulous! We loved the newlywed game and Liar Liar. Our sail and sign card was $170 when we departed- can't beat that! We had bought 20 drink coupons ahead of time, so hubby used those for his beers. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them!

I can say that if I don't hear "WHO DAT" for a real long time, it won't bother me any at all. There were those smells off and on everywhere on the passenger decks. I have been tossing aroung a couple of ideas of what causes them, They weren't real bad, and didn't last too long. We were on Verandah aft and had them too. I just figured out how to post pics, so I need to get busy and get them uploaded so that I can post them.;)

halos Posted January 29, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2010 Glad you had a good time. I'll be on her in 2 weeks!! :D I wonder why CCL seems to have the most prominent sewage odor issues?? I wish they'd address this already.....
canjay95 Posted January 29, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted January 29, 2010 Forgot to mention that we did Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel and it was the highlight of the trip! All inclusive drinks and food all day and a beach to die for!
rebric12 Posted January 29, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2010 I have a few quick questions because I am looking into booking a cruise on her for this summer. 1. Does the vienna cafe have the Europian coffee and pastries? 2. Do they have the Candy shop like on the Fantasy? I know they are weird questions, but my kids have asked. I work in a school cafeteria and one of our salesmen just got off the Triumph....Saw you are from Missouri and thought maybe you were in the same group... canjay95 Posted January 29, 2010 Author #9 Share Posted January 29, 2010 Yes, I am from Poplar Bluff and he was with us! Small world huh? Mr. Sanchos was not a Carnival excursion; we booked it on our own. You can go over to the ports of call under the caribbean section and read about it- we loved it!! Well worth the money. I never stopped at the Vienna Cafe so I can't help you out there. I noticed there was candy in the formalities shop.

Were they still heated?
kmr444 Posted January 29, 2010 #13 Share Posted January 29, 2010 Definately not! Thank goodness for the little girls that came along right when I was about to get in the aft pool with my daugher one evening. They got in and all played together for quite a while! The roof wasn't even closed and it was cold!
canjay95 Posted January 30, 2010 Author #14 Share Posted January 30, 2010 I did see the stroller! We were the obnoxiously big group in the back drinking and eating ourselves silly! The pools were not heated at all. We went down the slide on the day we got back from Progresso and it was chilly!! The slide was closed due to wind the rest of the trip, so I'm glad we did it that day.
flatman Posted January 30, 2010 #15 Share Posted January 30, 2010 Forgot to mention that we did Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel and it was the highlight of the trip! All inclusive drinks and food all day and a beach to die for! Did you book your all inclusive day with a woman named Carrie for Mr Sanchos? We did and unlike your great day there ours was a disaster. We paid $160 in advance and our names weren't on the list when we got there. We also booked the snorkel excursion with her which was a joke too. They wouldn't give us a table until they confirmed our reservations. It took two hours until they finally gave up trying to find Carrie and let us sit down on the beach. The snorkeling trip was two guys in a 18 ft. ( Boston Whaler ) fishing boat, with a small ladder to climb back over the sides of the boat to get back on. I contacted Carrie by email when we got back and she told us that we had trouble because Homer wasn't there that day. ( Who's Homer?) She wouldn't give us our money back or even apologize for this terrible expierience. I wouldn't recommend this lady to anyone.

Who Dat has been around longer than the Saints francise. The first documented case of its use was in a cartoon. Dave

We had the group rate of $40 pp for the all inclusive. We paid and then we were escorted to our table immediately! We paid nothing in advance. I brought our e-mail confirmation with us and had no problems. It was an absolutely fantastic day. I read a lot of negative stuff about that tour company you are referring to with Carrie. We steered clear of that.

My dw doesn't ever want to go back to Coz because of that day, but I'll work on her about that cuz I think there's a lot of fun places and things to do there. I just won't book thru Carrie again.
