Pier to Montreal Airport

I have booked a cruise that disembarks in Montreal. Can anyone tell me how much time I need to allow from the ship's arrival to flight departure time in order to ensure I can make the flight?

Depends on when you disembark. (weekend vs. weekday) rush hour or not. Normally I would allow 40 minutes by taxi. However, if there is an accident on the Expressway -there are 2 or 3 alternatives- that could double. Also be aware that if flying to the US you preclear customs and immigration in Montreal.. With the heightened paranoia of the border, this may take up to 2 hours. Check with your airline. Vancouver's port had shuttles whereby your luggage was precleared. I don't know if Montreal has anything similar. Perhaps a Montrealer can give you better information.

the highway should be less of a problem. The airport should not be busier.
