KNIGHTSBRIDGE INN=London Hotel ??

Would love to hear any feedback on Knightsbridge Inn Hotel... We are thinking of using this hotel after our cruise at the end of Aug.'10..Thanks so much for any info you might have !!!

This is a high quality boutique hotel at the top end in one of the most expensive areas in London. If you want a boutique smaller hotel rather than a large chain this may be a good fit

However, the Knightsbridge location by Harrods is not that central for the price you are paying.

Based on your Knightsbridge selection it looks like you are looking at the top end of the market $300+ ?

Initial suggestions would be if you don't mind a larger hotel then the Renaissance Chancery Hotel in Bloomsbury or Sofitel St James.

If you prefer a smaller more intimate hotel the Montagu On the Gardens.

Both the Renaissance and Montagu are in Bloomsbury a very atmospheric part of town on the edge of the theatre district. Its the literary district of London and on the edge of where all the big law courts are. There are lots of alleys and side streets to explore where you will make your own discoveries, lots of traditional pubs, about every cuisine in the world and lots of interesting book, antiques, quirky independent shops. You're not smothered in tourists either. You can walk through to Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square in 10 minutes.

The Sofitel is right in the heart of the mainstream tourist sights, around the corner from Trafalgar Square and is a very comfortable hotel.

If the actual hotel itself is the biggest factor in your visit then maybe look at the Milestone in Kensington (though in terms of location) this is like Knightsbridge just off the centre in Kensington High Street.
