andertim1 Posted February 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2010 Does anyone know how much you have to gamble to get the $10 back on carnival. That also enrolls you into the players club as well and I'm wondering if you have to gamble a total of $1000 dollars to qualify for that? Basically, I would like to know how the points add up? That is correct, $1,000.00. I usually get 20 back after a 7 day....:eek::eek:. I never come home ahead either.....:D:D:D.
Rochesterboatingdotcom Posted February 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2010 Does Carnival give cruise discounts based on play? NCL is giving us 17% based on our play from our last cruise, we sailed Carnival twice in the past and spent well over what we did on NCL.
WichitaDave Posted February 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2010 So do you actually get enrolled in a "club" and get some kind of benefit? On the cruise we just got back from, one of us went out of the way to get that 10 bucks and we were told that is all there is to it. No player club card, newsletters, perks, cruise discounts, etc, etc. Pretty disappointing if that is it. We thought we would at least get a free drink for it. ATL2LAS Posted February 21, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Carnival has a players club for the casinos. www.oceanplayersclub.com is the website. You do have to sign up for it onboard. I signed up 4 cruises ago and have not gotten anything. I have sent them an email via that site to get them to look into this and I am waiting for a response. seashells08 Posted March 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2010 I received a comp for 3 nights at the Venetian & 100 comp play in Vegas from gambling on the Carnival Miracle in 2008.

How long did it take you to get that offer? And did it come unsolicited---in other words, you didn't have to do anything to get it?
F22Smitty Posted March 13, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 13, 2010 That is correct, $1,000.00. Actually it is not $1000, it's is 1000 points to get $10. The points are based on time played, not the amount played. I think:D On our last cruise got the $10, but is the slot player and I know she only spent $300 to $400 to get to 1000 points. Hell I had 500 points and I only played $100 or so in the slots.
brnsnbrws Posted March 16, 2010 #9 Share Posted March 16, 2010 On our Carnival Valor Nov. cruise I we didn't get close to gambling $1000.00 and on our 2nd day on the ship we got letters sent to our cabin inviting us to come to the casino and present this letter and we got 500 credits and a drink. That sounds about right to me. The machine will say something like "300 points to go for cash bonus." I did watch to see if the amount I put in made the difference, but it seemed to have more to do with how long I played a given machine. I know I didn't come close to putting in $1000, and I got the $10 twice during the cruise.

That site hasn't been updated in 4 years haha! :D I was trying to look up table information for the Carnival Dream but to no avail. I'm also interested in Carnival Rewards program. It's a shame, in Vegas I'm a harrah's player and I know they are aligned with Norweigan now. Shame, I do have a venetian/palazzo card though which I know Carnival works through. Djptcp Posted May 28, 2010 #12 Share Posted May 28, 2010 DH and I were just on a 5-day Carnival cruise and I almost hit 4,000 points. I received the $10 back three times, but didn't quite reach the 4th time. I send an email to the Ocean Players Club several weeks before each cruise and ask if there are any perks available for me on the upcoming cruise. I usually receive 4 free drink coupons, a bottle of champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, a free photo coupon......usually the package is worth $50. When I return from the cruise, I always send a thank you email. In Oct., 2009, DH and I went on a Club 21 VIP cruise on the Holland America Westerdam. I received the invitation in June and booked right away. DH and I had free drinks all 7 days in the casino, I received $250 in cash the first night in the casino, there was a cocktail party for all the VIP cruisers (63 of us on that cruise) as we were leaving Ft. Lauderdale, a free dinner at the Pinnacle Grill (HAL specialty restaurant) and other perks I don't recall at the moment. It was terrific!! I'm waiting for my invitation to the Nov. Eurodam Club 21 VIP cruise as I write this and it should arrive in a week or so.
rawbdee Posted May 28, 2010 #13 Share Posted May 28, 2010 This may require it's own thread but I will try here. I know I have seen somewhere that you can use your Grazie (Venetian/Palazzo) Las Vegas membership card on the cruise. Is it best to use this or to sign up for the Ocean Players club? Like I said before I'm not a Grazie player, I spent 98% of my Casino time in Harrah's establishments but just looking for your suggestions. Thanks. I have never gambled $1000.00 on a Carnival cruise, neither has my sister and we both always get at least 2 letters at our cabin telling us we have earned 10.00 and a free drink in the casino. If it is like the land casinos, it is not just your money you are putting in the machine, but also any coins that you are lucky to win and playback will count towards points :).
