Having just disembarked from the Legend I cannot say that I notice many obvious signs that the Legend is overdue for drydock other than some frayed or stained carpet.

When I boarded the Legend on 10/31, it had just had new carpets installed in many places.

According to my husband we had the best service we have ever had on any Seabourn cruise. The food was great and the weather was ideal. The only drawback was there were too many sea days for our taste. Transiting the canal was very enjoyable( some fellow passengers who have done this before said it was the fastest transit they had ever experienced) but many of the ports were not too interesting.

The only downside to an otherwise interesting Panama Canal transit,is the poor ports.

Yes, I quite agree. Unfotunately Seabourn does not have many other port choices in this part of the world. Then again, since we rarely take tours( we did do two on this trip) we are just happy if we can to get off of the ship most days and take a nice long hike. But transiting the canal was worth it -- especially contrasting this experience with transiting the very different Corinth canal on seabourn a few years ago.Anyway, to return to the original topic of this thread don't let concerns about the state of the ship keep you from booking a cruise before she goes in drydock.
