negc Posted February 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2010 San Juan is on Atlantic time but I don't believe that they observe Daylight Savings Time so for that portion of the year when DST is in effect the time in Puerto Rico will be the same as on the East Coast of the US. Always remain on ship's time. It may depend on the captain but on some cruises you will be told to adjust your watches and they will then agree with the local time, but ship's time is the operative phrase if you don't want to risk missing the ship at the end of the day. Local tour operators are familiar with the ship's schedules so their tours will coincide with the times that the ships are in port.:)
