Transport from eze to port of villefranche

We have seldom seen taxis waiting at Eze although there is always a chance if they were to be dropping off other passengers. The reality is that the south of France does not have lots of taxis (like you find in Italian ports) and they are very expensive. It only takes about 15- 20 min to get from Eze to the port but we would not even want to guess on the fare.

I think taxis could be a bit hit or miss if it's busy in Eze.

There is a bus from the main square in Eze to Eze-sur-Mer from where you can get the train to Villefranche. (From memory about 10 minute ride) Not sure of the frequency, there are cafes in the square where you can wait (and keep eye open for taxis) but would allow plenty of time.
