Royal Carib. Kids Club Port Days?

Hi - first time Royal Caribbean cruiser here. Wondering if their kids program is open on port days and whether there is a charge (I have a 6 y.o. who may not want to go on a couple of the excursions). When we cruised NCL, they had a fee-based babysitting option on port days, but their kids club was not open. TIA!

Yes they are open and it's only over the lunch hour that you would pay (the same as if you left them on a sea day). What we didn't realize though is that the club will open up early on port days IF you were scheduled to do an excursion through the ship, your children could come early. If you were doing something on your own, you had to wait until the regular program hours (9 am).

Hi!

Just returned from a marvellous cruise on Adventure!

On PORT DAYS:

AO opens from 8:00 am, "normally" only for parents booked on a shore excursion from the ship BUT they don't check and never asked

they took our daughter every day at 8:00 am and she was the first one every day (we're early birds, the others came much later, we saw them coming to the beach when we were almost already leaving!!)

I experienced the same last August on the Navigtor, even though the ship was full, they always took our daughter in the morning

At some ports where the first excursions leaves very early -approx. 7 am) they're open and they even offer breakfast to the children, it's really great

They take the children to the Windjammer for lunch for free and you don't have to register for that. As long as your child is there, it will be taken to lunch!

AO closes at 5:00 pm or after the last excursion comes back

And it is free and VERY flexible, that's what we LOVE about RCCL

On Sea days:

children can have lunch with the crew , must pre-register and you'd have to pay a small fee (7$ ?)

There are also 2 or 3 dinners at the Jonny rockets with AO which are free

Feel free to ask if you have more questions!

It was our 5th cruise with RCCL!
