CD on Emerald?

We are not sailing until July but wonder who the Cruise director is on the Emerald now and if they know how long they will be on board? We had James Lay last year on the Ruby and loved him.

At the moment, it's Tim Donovan. I don't know how long is left on his contract though. :cool:

Yes, Tim was there for XMas 09 also.

 

Most of their contracts are 4 months, based on what I learned

taking the Emerald's Ultimate Ship's Tour back then.

 

He and his wife live in Las Vegas.

 

...figure they spend some time there between contracts...he

also has many contacts in the entertainment industry and

probably scouts out potential new shows while there.

Looks like the CD for the Emerald starting next week is Mark Turner. Anyone have any information/experiences to share?

 

By the way, Carnival does apparently respond to emails, and in my case, quickly. I thought I'd share. We have an 18 y/o DS who will be cruising with us for the first time this summer and was a little concerned about the lack of activities for this age group. I was advised to email Princess and express my concern/make suggestions. I did this on Monday and received a call today (Wednesday) from a rep. Not sure it will change anything about the 18 - 20 year old situation, but did impress me that they were so responsive. Anyway, while I had her on the phone I asked about the CD for the Emerald in June and she said Mark Turner was coming on next week.

Interesting to hear that Mark Turner is coming on as my pre-cruise emails have indicated that it will Tim Donovan for the Feb 14th sailing.

 

Would they change CDs after already contacting their passengers? Well I guess if the need requires it eh?

We had Donovan and you would be lucky to not have him. Seemed like a nice fellow, but not funny.
