Forward cabin, 7 night Caribbean cruise okay?

My ta has put cabin #2208 on hold for a 7 night cruise on the Carnival Victory. I would like to know if the location of the cabin is alright for a 7 night Caribbean cruise, it is the second cabin from the front on the port side. Any comments will be appeciated. Thanks.

Yes, there isn't much available the cruise is almost full. This is the best available cabin for the sailing date I need. My travel dates are not flexible.

I was in cabin #1207 on the Conquest about a month ago. I was pretty worried about noise, motion, etc. I had no issues at all. The only time I heard anything out of the ordinary was when they dropped anchor in Grand Cayman. It's only for a couple of minutes and sounds just like you would expect it to sound.

 

I don't know what it would have been like if there had been rough seas. We had a pretty smooth trip. But other than it being a long walk to get anywhere, it was a great cabin. It even had 2 portholes.
