Time change in PV

Is there a time change in Puerto Vallarta and Ship time on the Star? Worried about our shore excursion. If we arrive at 8:00am what time will it be in PV?

The Star remains on "ship" time during the entire cruise.

On the 7 Day Mexican Riviera,

The Ship will roll the clocks AHEAD one hour on the first night. (From Pacific Time to Mountain Time). You will receive a reminder in your stateroom.

The Ship will roll the clocks BACK one hour after the PV visit. (From Mountain Time to Pacific Time). You will receive a reminder in your stateroom.

The port of Los Angeles is on Pacific Time.

The ports of Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan are on Mountain Time.

The port of Puerto Vallarta is on Central Time.

Ships itineraries are always based on ship time.

There's one added wrinkle: the Daylight Savings shift in Mexico is now out of phase with that of the US. They still use (IIRC) the first Sunday in April and last Sunday in October as their clock shift dates, while we in the USA have gone to the second Sunday in March and first Sunday in November. So mid/late March and early November cruisers won't quite be on the schedule SeaShark described.

Confused? Me, too. Happy cruising!

Why would you be confused? Just move two hours instead of one....just like they will tell you in

1) the reminder card delivered to your stateroom

2) the Freestyle Daily

3) announcements over the PA system
