lovethekeys Posted February 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2010 Anyone recently off the Summit that can tell me about the 60's party and the Tropical Nite? Are these parties we have to bring costumes for? Trying to keep the luggage to a minimum and this might do me in;) Any information on these or other parties w/b appreciated. Hi:) I sailed her last month. There was a deck party up at the pool one evening although I cannot remember which. No, you do not need a costume. The deck party is after late seating with food, drinks and music. Some wonderful fruit and ice carvings too. I don't recall any 60s party and costumes are not necessary for any evening events. Mimi33 Posted February 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2010 60's party was just in the Revelations bar/dance area. 60's music, not sure if it was live or DJ. I didn't go. You do not need a costume for this either.

It was quite good....it was the Celebrity singers and dancers and they actually did a show on the dancefloor. I went and it was quite fun:D Lots of 60 music:). All the passengers dressed in whatever they were wearing normally. The singers and dancers did have costumes on because it was a show;) Then the passengers danced after the show ended. island pat Posted February 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2010 60's party was in Revelations Lounge it was called RocknRoll and there was the ship Accent Band. No costumes needed. 2 Formal Nights - St Maarten & Barbados and all other nights are smart casual There is a Fruit Buffet one night pool side at 11:30, plus second formal night there is a dessert buffet Music is great on the Summit presently. We enjoyed the Accent dance band, The Celebrity Swing Band which plays one night in the Rendezvous Lounge, The Elk Island Trio plays at different venues and everything from Jazz & Blues to Country to a Beatles set. Have a great cruise
