Walk from Embassy Suites on 17th to Emerald Princess?

Could anyone tell me how long it would take to walk from Embassy Suites on 17th in FLL to the Emerald Princess?

About ten minutes. It would be very awkward to try to bring your luggage along, as there are no sidewalks along the Eisenhower Blvd entrance and you would have to go through the security gate designed for cars only.

The crew enters and exits through an area north of the Convention center alone a small path SE 18th CT. You might be able to get through there, but I think you need your sea pass card.

If you are headed to the ship for a cruise, just take a taxi. $10 + tip.

If you just want to check out the ship; head up to the 17th street bridge and Princess ships are just south of the bridge.

Go to Google maps and check out the area.

Good luck,

Kel:)

assuming the ship is at pier 2.

Which brings up a good point...

Princess cruises usually leave from Terminal 2. See the port layout on this link.

http://www.porteverglades.org/directions-port-everglades.htm

We once showed up at terminal 2 only to find there were two Princess ships in port that day and ours was leaving from Terminal 24...which would have been about another 1 1/2 mile walk, if not more.

Don't try to walk...take a cab or Embassy Suites has a shuttle you can sign up for...see the Conceirge when you check in....they fill up quickly

Not true.

We walk quite often, there are sidewalks and its not just designed for vehicle traffic.

All you need to show is your ID/cruise documets to the Deputy stationed there in the booth.

It would be a 20 minute walk from ES, they are looooong blocks but its very doable.

We usually walk from the Renaissance which is across the street from the terminal.

As stated as long as the ship is in Berth 2.

You must be in good shape!! According to MSN streets trips it is 1.2 miles from the Embassy to the end of pier 2 road at the waterfront. Hauling luggage would still be a brisk walk for 20 minutes. I admire your stamina.
