Copenhagen Hotel and Shopping ?

We are staying in Copenhagen after our cruise ends there. Anyone know anything about Hotel D'Angleterre? When we travel, we prefer not to stay in American hotels (Hilton, Marriott, etc). Also, are all the shops closed on Sunday (particularly in the Stroget area)?

all shops are normally open the first sunday in every month but now also the last sunday since the government has voted for more opening days.

 

But i will have to check if downtown Copenhagen is making use of the new rules.

The small drugstores and bars, café's and restaurants will have open the other sundays.

you might look at the Kong Arthur or the Addmiral. We stayed near the Tivoli Gardens at the First Hotel Top (nice hotel but very large) smaller the BW Hotel City gets good reviews and is very much local in color.
