stewcarol Posted February 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2010 We're on the Grandeur and on the last day, our flight doesn't leave until 4pm. What do we do with luggage all day and suggestions for what to do for 1/2 day in Tampa? Sitting at airport for 6 hours isn't appealing; do I need to rent a car for 1/2 day just to have somewhere to stick all the luggage? We are parents with a 15 and 11 yr old boy. Thanks! You could see if any of the hotels offer a day pass where you could have the use of a room to change clothes, catch a nap or store your luggage while you use the pool and other hotel facilities. Failing that you could rent a car and make a quick visit to Busch Gardens, the casino, or tour the Tampa/St. Pete area.:)
andrzej5914 Posted February 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2010 When we were leaving the Grandeur we saw a sign for airport luggage transfer with storage for at least few hours. Didn't pay attention to details because we didn't need the service but it was available. Can't tell you cost or what the service entailed. When you arrive, why not talk to one of the porters. Maybe they can provide more info.
minnie00 Posted February 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2010 I am pretty sure that if you fly in on a participating airline, the ship offers a service where they take your luggage to airport and you don't have to deal with it.
stewcarol Posted February 19, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted February 19, 2010 Great, sounds like we can play it by ear and make a plan when we arrive. Thanks for the suggestions!
