Two in one day: Possible?

Ok, my wife and I are going through the excursions trying to pick what we want to do and where and we've got a bit of a conundrum.

Our ship will be in Philipsburg from 07:00 until 15:00.

I desperately want to do the America's Cup sailing, but my wife wants nothing to do with boats that list. :p

Basically, she wants to hit a beach. Totally cool... I want to do that too!

My question is: Are the excursions scheduled in such a way that I'll have enough time to do the sailing in the a.m. so we can then meet up back on-board once that's done and still have enough time to do the Afternoon Beach Bash in Orient Bay?

Your thoughts would be most welcome!

..but it might be wiser to stay closer to the ship for some beach time

and do the Philipsburg Beach, instead?

3 p.m. ship departure sounds a bit on the early side, to me

and I wouldn't go too far away -not in the limited time, post-race.

If the Beach Bash is a ship's tour, then there's no risk of being left behind.

Another question: For the people going to Orient Bay... is it just one large shuttle ride to and from at a specific time? Or are there shuttles bringing people back and forth over teh course of the afternoon?

I don't know about a ship's excursion, but you can easily take a taxi there from the pier for a max of $9/pp (for 2 in a cab) with lower rates for shared cabs. Chairs can be rented on the beach from a number of beach club/restaurants. You can come and go as you please if you travel there on your own. Just be back to the ship in time!
