Hotel recommendation for late arriving passengers

Hi Guys,

We will be arriving in Miami around 7:30 pm. We are looking for a place that is reasonable priced, located near some place we can have a bite to eat and where getting to the port is going to be pretty easy....whether it be by shuttle or taxi.( We leave on our cruise the next day)

Thanks in advance.

Since you are arriving late and just want dinner and a clean safe bed, I'd suggest an airport area hotel in the Blue Lagoon area (Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, and many others) near MIA. Free airport shuttles and a local shopping mall with several dining options (Italian, Chinese and Cuban) plus fast food, grocery and drug stores. There's also a liquor store for any last minute "cruise supplies" you may need.:D

You can shuttle to POM the next morning for about $10 per person, or cab it for under $30. Check these boards and tripadvisor for hotel reviews. Good luck!:)

Thank you so much JohninDC...this is exactly the kind of info I was looking/hoping for. I will start googling now:D

Thanks

We actually stayed at the Homewood suites last year using Hilton points. Bought some wine at the Publix grocery store (5 minute walk away) and had dinner at the Cuban place (Casa Juan) - it was all great! Have a good cruise!:)

in dec we stayed at the HAMPTON INN and it was very NICE and convenient to last minute picking up snaks, drinks...there is a Walgreens, CVS, Publix, Liquor store and some eating places--recommend the CHINESE place in the strip mall right across the street from the Hampton...GOOD FOOD, price and LOTs of it!!!
