rich40245 Posted February 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2010 [While not directly related to cruise air, more than a few cruise passengers here think about flying on Ryanair.] Seems when flying on Ryanair, you may or may not actually get to your destination, and the airline does not care. A flight from Bournemouth, U.K., to Lanzarote (a Canary Island) was forced to divert due to stormy weather and land on the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura (a different Canary Island.) The passengers say they were then left to make their own onward travel arrangements to catch ferries and boats to Canary Island. Ryanair says they arranged a freey the next day. new salt Posted February 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2010 If your journey is important to you - do not fly Ryanair.
Ainhoa Posted February 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2010 Ah Ryanair. The last airline I would ever use unless I had to. They fill planes because they are cheap, but should anything go wrong........ you are totally on your own. They have this reputation. You have been warned. That said, if you HAVE to use them, the flight itself is not bad, the planes are new, the pilots well qualified and the FA reasonably friendly. kenish Posted February 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2010 The title of this thread ends with "!" which I thought is used to express surprise or an unusual situation. ;)
Globaliser Posted February 21, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2010 The very paradigm of naivety:- 'I know Ryanair is a budget airline but surely they have some duty of care to their passengers.'
keltic Posted February 21, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Does any airline take care of their passengers instead of their wallets?.
mudscraper Posted February 21, 2010 #7 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Does any airline take care of their passengers instead of their wallets?. If they were taking care of their wallets we wouldn`t have seen most of them in bankruptcy. Rich
jetexpress Posted February 21, 2010 #8 Share Posted February 21, 2010 You expect an airline that considers charging a fee to use the lavatory, to go out of their way to help you when you need it most?
Globaliser Posted February 22, 2010 #9 Share Posted February 22, 2010 Does any airline take care of their passengers instead of their wallets?.There are plenty of airlines that do both at the same time, and don't see these as mutually inconsistent aims.
