Cruising in Oct in Caribbean

I have been on several cruises but have never went in the fall. I was wondering if anyone can provide information on what the weather is like that time of year. Is it rainy and/or windy? Thanks

I love to cruise in October and November. It is still very warm in the Caribbean. Although it is at the end, October is still in hurricane season, so a storm is not out of the question. I wouldn't worry too much about it though.

We sailed Oct 31, 2009 (St. Thomas, Grand Turk, Nassau) for 7 days. It was perfect. Water still warm enough to really enjoy too.

It's basically the same all year, locals may find a change but if they say "it's SOOO cold" it may have dropped from 88f to 85f!! or the sea is colder to them but to us it's warm.

It is the hurricane season so a big one could blow up at anytime. Go knowing that for the safety of the ship and passangers the Captain may have to change ports at very short notice and please don't get all bent out of shape when it happens. That is part of cruising during hurricane season.

We did W. Carib. last oct., the weather was great w/a few tropical showers thrown in for good measure but nothing that would put a damper on our cruise!

The weather will most likely be in the 80's and 90's. You might have a storm, but you might not, just like any other time. At the beach, the water is warm.
