salseros2003 Posted February 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2010 Dear All cruisemates, we are looking for maps and/or foot itineraries for Barcellona and Palma. Any suggestions? We prefer skipping shore excursion organized by the cruiseship and visit by ourselves both cities. Thanks
riffatsea Posted February 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2010 For Barcelona you can buy(or just read at a book store) the Insight Guides Barcelona Step by Step. This book highlights each neighborhood and tells you where to walk. It then has a pullout map which shows all the walks in one place. IF you are only there for one day then you'd have to decide which sights are of interest to you and then make your own walk.

Great info, maps and lots of pictures. Judy:)
Rare CTCruisers Posted March 10, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2010 We stopped by the local libraries and found several books on travel to Spain and Mallorca. Besides the usual Fodor's, Frommers, and Rick Steve's books, we found books on Cruising in Europe with port information that was very useful for our planning. I just made copies of what pages and/or maps we wanted to save.
tahoemw Posted March 11, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 11, 2010 I do that too, so I don't have to carry a whole bunch of books. I even print out pages from cruise critic with the information people give about an area. I keep the pages in a plastic sleeve in my front pocket of my luggage
