aroach2524 Posted March 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2010 My understanding is that you can bring wine and soft drinks (in a reasonable amount of course) on board HAL (specifically the Zuiderdam in Ft. Lauderdale). Is this correct?
6rugrats Posted March 5, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2010 Yes; if you bring the wine into the diningroom, you will be charged a corkage fee.

jtl513 Posted March 5, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2010 You can bring it on at every port, so there's no need to struggle with a lot on embarkation day.
bcirish Posted March 5, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2010 Bring what ever you want at each port of soda and wine. WE brought a case of soda in a suitcase as well as a case of wine in a shipping case which we checked with out luggage. WE also take a coffee mug ( just like my coffee this way)and a cold soda mug- fill it with ice and soda in the room and take to pool etc throughout the day. I will do all of this each time on HAL - it was great and it was easy.
John&John Posted March 5, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2010 Yes; if you bring the wine into the diningroom, you will be charged a corkage fee. What if you just walk in with a glass of wine (like if you had bought it at a bar?)
jtl513 Posted March 5, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 5, 2010 What if you just walk in with a glass of wine (like if you had bought it at a bar?)No one will say anything - but most people in the room will presume that you're bringing in your own. :p Then you'll have to get new glasses from your room steward.
