Hotel near Port Canaveral

Any suggestions on a good hotel fairly close to Port Canaveral?

The best ones are Country Inn & suites, Raddison & Redience Inn. We have stayed at CS&I and recommend it. Breakfast is included. If there are only 2 of you use priceline and bid around 50

We just came back from a cruise out of Port Canaveral. We stayed at the Residence Inn --excellent choice!!! This is by far the nicest Residence Inn we have ever stayed at. It is 4 yrs old and very clean with a very helpful staff!! They even upgraded us to a two bedroom suite. The breakfast was very good, the evening social hour had complimentary wine and beer with a lovely caesar salad and minestrone soup with breadsticks and tasty lemon squares for dessert. Parking was complimentary while on the cruise. They had a shuttle service pick us up on time-$6.00 pp roundtrip and the shuttle was waiting for us when we got off the ship to take us back to the car at the hotel. It is very close to the port and also close to the canaveral beaches which we enjoyed.

I haven't seen anyone mention HI express in Cocoa Beach. From what I understand there used to be an older HI that received some bad reviews, but this HI express is newer. Does anyone have any experience staying here? It seems most everyone stays at Country Inn and Suites or the Raddison at the Port. We do have a rental car, so getting to the port is not an issue. Thank you
