cruisenum7 Posted March 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2010 hi all.... be gentle.... first time on this site.... When not cruising, I love sitting back on my computer at home and tracking ships via their bridgecams, but I find it so annoying that there are so many ports around the world that don't have webcams installed so we can see the ships docked there... and if I hear "...due to security" one more time, I'll scream  Auckland (why not have one on skytower?), Melbourne's Station pier, Rome Civitavecchia, Pireaus (Athens), Miami, Sydney's Darling Harbour etc etc Thanks
Kiwi_cruiser Posted March 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Welcome to Cruise Critic cruisenum7 :) Auckland (why not have one on skytower?), Melbourne's Station pier, Rome Civitavecchia, Pireaus (Athens), Miami, Sydney's Darling Harbour etc etc As off a month ago, Auckland did have a web cam looking over the harbour (It was quite good one, as you could watch ships come & go, but it was hard to see the ship at the Wharf), but as of the start of this month it went offline :( (It was here: http://www.seacity.co.nz/) That was the 2nd web cam Auckland has had, as their was one done by TVNZ about two years ago. Melbourne does have port cams: http://www.portofmelbourne.com/shipping/webcams/, but as you say none that look over the cruse terminal. Sydney also has a web cam: http://www.sydney-webcam.com/index.php?nav=cam1 & http://www.therocks.com/sydney-Getting_Here_and_Around-Webcam.htm You might find this site useful.
