No more 8D's, ES question

I booked an 8D on the Miracle. I have had 2 price drops and have gotten obc. The price for 8K's are lower than my 8D, however 8D pricing has disappeared. Can I do anything for obc or can I upgrade to an 8K? I believe the 8K's have the upper berth tucked away in the ceiling. Is the 20 extra sf of balcony space worth the inconvenience of the protruding upper bunk? Trying not to be greedy, just want the best bang for my buck! :o

on most, the bunk is tucked away by your cabin steward for the day, and opened back up by the steward at turn-down time.

if its a triple and only 2 of you, they may not allow you to upgrade. the bunk stays in the ceiling, so it wouldnt bother you. ask about upgrading, all they can say is no. for instance in summer, when more kids sail, they may not allow you to upgrade.
