First Cruise - Grand Princess

Hi, first time cruiser and poster.

 

We're booking the Grand princess tomorrow for our honeymoon. The Mediterrenean Medley this July. Myself, wife to be and 2 year old child.

 

I'm sure the cruise company will be able to answer my questions tomorrow but thought i'd post on here to introduce myself as i'll no doubt have hundreds of questions over the coming months.

 

First off, i'm wondering about restrictions for children. i know the casino is out of bounds, but are the bars out of bounds at all times for kids or can they go in up until a certain hour.

 

Not that i want to spend all my time in the boozer put i'd like to know what i can expect!

 

Are there any other general restrictions for children?

Drinking/gambling age is 21, Skywalkers restricts access after 11pm to 18 and older.

There is no restriction for the other bars.

There are a couple of adult pools too.

Your child will be too young to be left in the children's center by him or herself, but you can take him there and stay with him while he plays if you would like.

I don't think a 2 year old can use the kids programs at all can they?

Yeah, the kids clubs are for ages 3 and up if you want to leave them. Bit of a con that you have to pay child prices for a 2 year but don't get the child benefits!We wouldn't want to leave her anyway so it's not an issue.

 

We'd thought of a babysitter just for the one evening so we could hit the casino together but it's not the end of the world that we can't do that. I'll no doubt blow enough money in there when I venture down on my own!
