Hi all, Has anyone heard if or when the Grand is going into drydock. Been looking at her Caribbean cruise for next year but almost afraid to book it if she goes in.

The Grand is fine!She won't go in for a dry dock until 2011.

I don't recall which quarter/month it is as I have inquired about this in the past.Is there a specific reason you are concered about the Grand?

I hate to book the 2 week cruise on her which usually is the month of april if she is going into dry dock at that time just wondering if anyone heard when she is going. i heard next year but not when

There are rumors floating around about if and when the Grand is going into dry dock. Months and years pass with nothing definitive from Princess.

 

The ship is in good shape with no pressing issues calling for a dry dock. Adding amenities such as an International Cafe would not require a dry dock.

 

We've cruised the Grand three times in the past year or so and can tell you it's a fine ship with a wonderful crew. We're considering our options for winter '11 and the Grand is in the mix once again.

If your that concerned about it,take your cruise a couple of weeks early and go in March.It shouldn't matter whether you cruise pre/post Grand dry dock.
