dalitos Posted March 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2010 We have taken only one cruise in the past and it was RCI, so we are Crown & Anchor members. We are now taking a Celebrity cruise, and I thought I read somewhere that it C&A status is useful at Celebrity since they are owned by the same company? Thank you. BaumD Posted March 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2010 Celebrity only recognizes C&A members that are at the higher levels (5+ cruises). As you only have one RCCL cruise, it won't give you any benefit on Celebrity.
travelingmom37 Posted March 10, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2010 I thought you could just call the Captain's Club and have your RCCL status transferred to Celebrity. The prior poster may just have more info than me. I would call and give it a shot, you have nothing to lose.:)
Phxazzcruisers Posted March 10, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2010 You cannot transfer one point from one to the other. As the previous poster said, they will only transfer recognition from the highest level. You will need to get a Captain's Club number and start anew. Enjoy your cruise

The prior poster may just have more info than me.I would call and give it a shot, you have nothing to lose.:) Since dalitos only has one cruise on RCI, they would not have reached the Platinum level as the maximum credit for one cruise is 3 points - one cruise credit for each completed sailing and an extra cruise credit when you purchase and sail in a suite (for sailings beginning on or after January 1, 2004) or when you sail on a 12-night or longer cruise/cruisetour (for sailings beginning on or after January 1, 2003). As previously posted, you cannot get reciprocal membership until you reach the over 5 cruise credit level. You cannot combine credits from one line to the other. From Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor site: Member Benefits (in addition to those above): Platinum, Diamond, Diamond PlusOnboard Benefits Private departure lounge Priority check-in (where available) Platinum and Diamond Event Robes for use onboard (subject to availability) Cruise Planning Benefits A special number to call for pre-cruise benefits, (888) 437-1953 *** Receive matching Captain's Club member recognition when you sail our sister lines, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises Complimentary custom air fee *** (ChoiceAirSM not included) Discounts on balcony and suites *** And from their FAQ's: How do I receive equivalent recognition in Celebrity Cruises' Captain's Club? A: As a benefit of Platinum, Diamond and Diamond Plus membership in Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor Society, you will receive equivalent recognition in Celebrity Cruises' Captain's Club. If you are currently a member of both loyalty programs, you will automatically be upgraded based on your highest membership level between the two. For instance, if you are a Crown & Anchor Platinum member and a Captain's Club Classic member, you will be automatically upgraded to the Select level in the Captain's Club. And if you are a Diamond or Diamond Plus member, you will automatically receive equivalent recognition as a Captain's Club Elite member. The benefits of the two programs will stay independent, and the number of sailings a member accrues on each brand will not be combined. If you are a Platinum, Diamond or Diamond Plus member in the Crown & Anchor Society but not a member of the Captain's Club, and plan on sailing on Celebrity Cruises, call the Loyalty Service Center at 800-526-9723 to enroll in equivalent recognition. And please remember to provide your Membership Number whenever you reserve a cruise vacation to receive all the benefits you deserve
hannibal54 Posted March 10, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2010 I had 6 credits with RCL so I was able to become a select member on Celebrity. My GF has 4 credits on RCL but she was unable to sign up for the Captain's Club because she did not have Platinum status 5 credits.
