Wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands, and watch all the passengers that don't. As an RN I applaud CCL and HAL, which I've seen first hand attempting to educate passengers and placing hand sanitizers around the ships. However, my jaw normally drops if I use a restroom outside of the one in our cabin, and watch passengers in and out with no concern about washing their hands before leaving. I always wonder if they're headed to the buffet or casino to contaminate! Sorry folks, been in healthcare as Medic/RN for a long time.

.....Coral Princess. They had the hand sanitizers right where you walked into the buffet AND an employee standing there insisting that you would have to use the sanitizer before going into the buffet.

I think I might have seen Carnival add them to their ships (minus the emplyee) in 2008. I don't remember them on the Miracle in 2007.

In fact, Carnival has one of the best records regarding Noro Virus in the industry. There hasn't been a reported instance of Noro on a Carnival ship this year out of the 25 instances...

You better knock on somethin'! :-)

It may not have been Noro but last month on the Freedom hundreds got something the last night of the cruise including me and my DW.

Several people from our roll call had to wait at the airport before flying out and it was all they talked about.

They spent hours the last night disenfecting the public areas of the ship.

Very surprised it did not hit the media.
