Flowers - In Advance or On Board?

I understand you can buy fresh flowers from a cart on the Royal Promenade or I know you can order flowers to the cabin in advance. Question is which is better do you think? Buying them from the cart? I assume they come in a vase or you can buy one, or do I buy them, stick a vase in my suitcase (I live a few minutes from the port)? Can someone shed some more light on this "flower cart" I've seen in posts. Thanks.'

I order them in advance so they are in the cabin when we we arrive. They will be in a vase.
